Siblings.
This was Miss Izzy and our little Judah man, moments before getting ready for bed tonight.
They were standing on a little table with barely enough room for the both of them on it and singing at the top of their voices. I was clearing up in the kitchen after dinner and getting things ready for their bedtime, when I thought; I am so glad they have each other. I am so thankful, that while there is the normal sibling squabbles, teasing and bossing around, there is also so much love. As I swiped through the pictures on my phone, I noticed just how many I have of the two of them together. So many of the two of them, right here in our little house, just happy to be playing together. They run to see each other first thing in the morning, they play together all day long, actually, they are rarely apart. In the past few months, as Judah has become a little boy, (there is no more baby), it has been a joy to watch them grow in their friendship and fun together.

It is hard to catch squabbling and naughtiness in a photograph, but the photo below tells a little of the story! 🙂
However there are many times throughout the day when they play sweetly together and it gives me great joy to listen to their sibling bond. In fact many times after Judah helps his sister, or shares his toys, he will come running to me and say, “Mama, that makes you so happy?” Then, I pick him up, squeeze him tight and tell him, “Yes, it makes me so happy”. It is often in these moments I think how much it must also please our Heavenly Father, when we as His children, as brothers and sisters in Christ, show love, grace and forgiveness to one another.
1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God: and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1 John 4:21
And this commandment have we from Him, that he who loveth God love his brother also.
Goodnight from the jungle,
Love, Philippa.
